Dracula Tivoli

Dracula

Tivoli Theatre

In 2010 Michael Scott created a third production of his original Play Dracula, this time with Danish actor  Lukas Hassel playing Dracula

death is not the end –

it is the beginning of something new...

Bram Stoker’s immortal fiend is returning in Michael Scott’s spine-curdling production of everyone’s favourite shocker.

Good struggles against evil as Jonathan Harker and his fiancee Mina, aided and abetted by the eccentric Dr Van Helsing join forces to ovecome and undo that Prince of the Undead, Count Dracula.

From modest beginnings, Dracula has gone on to become one of the most successful stories of all time, holding something new for each coming generation.

More than a mere blood-curdling yarn, the present proliferation of  vampire-inspired film and television  treatments suggests that our interest in love and death, good and  evil and our need to test boundaries everywhere has never been stronger.

With a talented and versatile cast of seven  Michael Scott  offers  a twenty-first century take on this Gothic classic in an atmospheric new staging .

A visual spectacle of dark alluring horrors, with scary special effects, sudden spine chilling fogs and howling wolves...

DRACULA is a must-see, in this season of mists and midnight chills, for anyone who loves their marows jolted... their hair raised and their slumbers trampled.

  “there are such things...”

Production Concept

Using the complete space of the Tivoli Theatre, with a paved floor and metal grills the setting was surrounded by real trees which receded into the darkness as the production progress, always enclosing the action.

Darkess, shadows, and mists abounded, as Dracula moved from this castle in Transylvania to London/
